Video Cloud Basics: Capturing Video Poster & Thumbnail Images

In this topic you will learn how to capture poster and thumbnail images using the Media module.

Steps

  1. Open the Media module.
  2. Click a video title to open the video details page.
  3. Use the preview player at the top of the page to play the video.
  4. Pause the video at the frame you want to use for the poster/thumbnail image.
  5. Click Capture in the controls below the preview player.
  6. In the Capture dialog, select where to assign the captured frame — as the Poster, Thumbnail, and/or Video Preview image.
  7. Click Capture.

Note that it may take a minute for the processing to complete and for the images to appear in the Media module.
