Managing Profile Information

In this topic, you will learn how to view and edit your profile information.

Opening Profile Settings

To open the Profile Settings page, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Studio.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the profile icon and select My Profile.

Profile Settings opens in a new tab. The page is grouped into Personal Information, Change Password, Localization, and Collection of Usage Data.

Editing your profile

Make any necessary edits, then click Save Changes to apply them.

Field reference

  • Personal Information — Edit your First Name and Last Name. Changing your email address is not supported; if you need a different email, an account administrator must create a new account with the correct email.
  • Change Password — Enter your Current Password, then choose a New Password and confirm it. The new password must:
    • Be between 12 and 128 characters long
    • Contain at least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
    • Contain at least one lowercase letter (a-z)
    • Contain at least one number (0-9)
    • Contain at least one special character
    • Not contain any whitespace characters
    • Not contain personal information (such as your email or name)
    • Not contain the words brightcove, studio, or videocloud
  • Localization — Use the Time Zone dropdown to set the time zone used when scheduling video Availability, and use the Language dropdown to choose the language Studio is displayed in.
  • Collection of Usage Data — Choose Yes or No to allow or opt out of Brightcove collecting and analyzing product usage data. See Brightcove's Privacy Policy for details.
